Lynnette Valentijn, M.D., a pediatrician at The South Bend Clinic’s main campus, completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit where she also served as Chief Resident. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University.
Lynnette served Elkhart as a pediatrician for 27 years before joining us here at The South Bend Clinic and is very invested in the community. She enjoys treating children of all ages from newborn through high school and loves watching them grow into adults. She also enjoys taking care of children with complex problems and helping the patient’s family adapt and cope. Among her most rewarding experiences as a pediatrician? When a former patient entrusts her with their newborn’s care.
She belongs to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Indiana State Medical Association. Currently, she is enjoying covering for “A Rosie Place,” a respite facility just for special needs kids. A Rosie Place gives caretakers and families a break over the weekend.
In her spare time, Lynnette enjoys gardening and cultivating roses. She has also enjoyed re-learning how to play the French horn and sings in a church choir. An avid reader, she prefers mysteries and historical fiction.
She is now practicing at The South Bend Clinic’s main campus on North Eddy Street and is happily accepting new patients.
