Liwei Hua, MD, PhD, is a double board-certified general and child and adolescent psychiatrist. She graduated from University of Delaware with a BS in Biochemistry and BA in English before going on to complete her graduate studies at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Hua then attended SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she earned her MD degree. She completed Psychiatry residency at University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt, followed by Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital. Prior to moving to Indiana, Dr. Hua was the director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry outpatient services at University of Michigan and then director of Psychiatry education at Villa Maria Community Mental Health Resources of Catholic Charities of Baltimore. She is very excited to start a new position as an integrated child and adolescent psychiatrist at South Bend Clinic and to work closely with pediatricians and psychologists to provide collaborative care for children and adolescents.
Dr. Hua enjoys traveling, reading, baking, binge-watching shows with her husband, and having fun with her children.
