"I love watching the changes people go through at different stages of life and helping them through the challenges of each phase."

- Rebecca Rockers, M.D.

Rebecca Rockers, M.D. can’t remember a time when she did not dream of becoming a family medicine doctor. As a young child, her stuffed animals were her patients to practice surgery on and her Fisher Price stethoscope and syringe tools were constantly being used on her family. Now she has achieved her dream and is practicing in family medicine.  She loves the wide-range of challenges in family medicine and being able to treat both children and adults.

More importantly, Rebecca loves getting to know her patients and families on a personal level along with treating their medical condition(s). By being an active listener, she can often get to the root of what ails the patient. She also brings a bit of her own personality to the patient-physician relationship through her wonderful sense of humor.

“I love watching the changes people go through at different stages of life and helping them through the challenges of each phase”, Rebecca Rockers, M.D. The continuity of care that is inherent in caring for individuals and families is important to her. She loves caring for children and has an affinity for the unique issues women face in their own health.

In her spare time, Rebecca loves animals, especially rescue dogs and cats. She enjoys practicing yoga and fitness kick boxing, relaxing while knitting and game nights with friends. Stress does come with being a physician so her quiet time is equally important to her.

Becky Rockers, M.D. is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology as well as her Medical Doctor degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Prior to joining The South Bend Clinic, she was in private practice in Michiana as well as providing some urgent care and workplace wellness services to area employer based clinics.
