Dr. Bolden attended Washington University in St. Louis where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with high honors. He attended medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago before completing his medical training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is board certified in obstetrics & gynecology. He is a member the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists.

In October 2017, Dr. Bolden transitioned from his office-based practice to focus more on inpatient obstetric care. While he remains a partner with the South Bend Clinic and an active member of the department, his primary role is now as an obstetric hospitalist – providing a full range of obstetric and emergency gynecologic care in the hospital setting. His primary interests include high-risk obstetrics, quality and process improvement in obstetric care and policy development/legislative advocacy in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
