Enrique Infante, M.D. comes to us with years of experience as the former Medical Director of Beacon Health Systems OB/GYN practice at Elkhart General Hospital and several years as the attending physician at Three Rivers Health in Three Rivers, Michigan. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. He earned his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico.
Enrique was in his second year of a general surgery residency training when the birth of his son changed everything. After his wife’s doctor told him to put on a gown and help with his son’s delivery, he knew his calling was to become an obstetrician and gynecologist. He says he loves what he does because he’s involved in changing the quality of women’s lives. He has a close relationship with his patients and strives to guide their treatment plans according to their wants and needs empowering them in their healthcare goals.
He offers all OB/GYN services spanning from general and complicated high risk obstetrics as well as complete gynecological care. He is particularly passionate about helping women with incontinence issues, pelvic pain, and irregular bleeding. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery along with multi-modal anesthesia minimizing the use of narcotics for the post-operative period for a quicker recovery and fewer side effects. This approach is also used with his patients requiring cesarean sections.
Born in Miami, Enrique is bilingual being completely fluent in both English and Spanish.
He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Academy of Gynecological Laparoscopy.
He loves staying in shape with Crossfit, spending time with his wife and three boys and participates in multiple sports.
