Rachael Harris Sprunger, D.O.  grew up right here in South Bend!  She is a proud graduate of John Adams High School and Goshen College in nearby Goshen. She then attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She did her internship at Michigan State, then went to Indiana University for her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  She finished her fellowship in pain management in Chicago at Northwestern University. She now treats all musculoskeletal problems, but specializes in injections and other procedures to relieve pain.

Rachael loves to take care of people, and medicine is her passion. She is excited to join Paul Desmarais and Kay Park in practice.

Rachael believes that all people want to be able to live full, productive lives, yet many are crippled by pain or limited by physical injuries or handicaps.  As a physiatrist specializing in pain, she wants to give patients the best quality of life that they can achieve, whether through pain management, improving their physical well-being, or by fully utilizing her skills in osteopathy and manipulation.  She hopes to provide compassionate, comprehensive care for all her patients.

She met her husband while they both attended Goshen College.  After moving around the Midwest for the last decade, and having two wonderful children, they have settled in Rachael’s hometown.  They are thrilled to be back in South Bend!  They love to spend time with their children, and meeting new people. In their spare time they are renovating their home to make it more their own.

She practices at the main campus of The South Bend Clinic in South Bend.  To schedule an appointment with Rachael Harris Sprunger, D.O., call The South Bend Clinic at 574-234-8161.
