Shana’e Clark, Au.D, CCC-A, an audiologist at The South Bend Clinic’s main campus, completed her externship with Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She received her Doctorate in Audiology from Western Michigan University, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. Shana’e grew up in the Flint, Michigan area, but becomes more of a Hoosier with each passing year as she explores more of Indiana.
She sees patients across the lifespan, preforming unsedated and sedated auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing on newborns and adults, diagnostic audiologic testing, vestibular testing including electrocochleography (ECOG) and videonystagmography (VNG) testing, traditional and bone-anchored hearing aids, and cochlear implants.
She particularly enjoys serving the pediatric population and their families, and assisting patients through the cochlear implantation process. Shana’e chose audiology for the ability to assist her patients in improving their quality of life through improved communication. As Helen Keller stated, “Blindness cuts us off from things, but deafness cuts us off from people.” Being able to help restore that connection is what drives her.
Shana’e Clark, Au.D. is a licensed Audiologist, holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), and has completed a fellowship with the Michigan Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (MI-LEND) program.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new areas.
She is practicing at The South Bend Clinic’s main campus.
