Most rewarding in practicing orthopaedic medicine is the ability to relieve discomfort and help people maximize their quality of life. One of the most important aspects of my work is to ensure each patient has a unique, tailored treatment plan that best fits that individual. I communicate in a manner that patients understand their injury and fully comprehend all treatment plans available to them – both operative and non-operative. I enjoy educating my patients about their musculoskeletal problems so they can participate in a shared decision making process.
I am Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery in both general orthopaedics as well as Sport subspecialty.
My medical education includes a dedicated sports medicine fellowship completed at Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Prior this I completed my orthopaedic residency training at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. While training at Penn State, I was also able complete a dedicated orthopaedic research fellowship which focused are cartilage injury and repair while also obtaining a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Academic Education. I completed a combined degree during medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, obtaining both an MD and a Masters in Science (anatomy and cell biology) degree. My undergraduate education was completed at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana resulting in a double major with Honors in both Biology and Biochemistry.

In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities including, kayaking, hiking, biking, horseback riding. I also enjoy attending live music events of all types. I enjoy volunteering my time with people and animals. I enjoy art and do paint and charcoal sketch.
I will be practicing medicine and surgery at The South Bend Clinic’s main campus at 211 N. Eddy in South Bend.
