South Bend Clin­ic Vis­i­tor Guid­ance Dur­ing COVID-19 

Masks Require­ments — Updat­ed Feb­ru­ary 13, 2023

In order to pro­vide our patients and staff with the high­est qual­i­ty of care, as well as com­ply with the OSHA Emer­gency Tem­po­rary Stan­dard, we con­tin­ue to take thought­ful, care­ful steps for every­one’s safety. 

As of Feb­ru­ary 13, masks will be option­al at all South Bend Clin­ic facil­i­ties, with a few exceptions:

  • Patients with any upper res­pi­ra­to­ry symp­toms are required to wear a mask through­out their visit.
  • Staff/​providers must wear a face mask upon a patien­t’s or staff/​provider’s request.
  • Upon request of staff/​provider, patients and vis­i­tors accom­pa­ny­ing them into an exam or pro­ce­dure room will be required to wear masks.
  • Patients and vis­i­tors to the ambu­la­to­ry surgery cen­ter must wear a mask dur­ing their visit.

Please remem­ber that as state and fed­er­al author­i­ties release updat­ed health and safe­ty guid­ance and require­ments, SBC will con­tin­ue to review and update our coro­n­avirus-relat­ed poli­cies and pro­ce­dures as war­rant­ed and inform you of any changes.

COVID 19 Testing

South Bend Clin­ic patients will be referred to their Pri­ma­ry Care Physi­cian for eval­u­a­tion. For non-South Bend Clin­ic patients, please feel free to vis­it our Imme­di­ate Care Cen­ter locat­ed at 301 E. Day Rd., Mishawa­ka for evaluation.

If you need test­ing for trav­el, please obtain an order from your pri­ma­ry care provider and vis­it one of our sev­en lab loca­tions.
