Brian Carter, MD, President
Brian Carter, M.D., is board-certified in Family Medicine.
He attended the University of Nevada where he received his undergraduate degree and earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend. He is the former chairman for the Department of Family Medicine, and serves as a member on The South Bend Clinic Board of Trustees.
Dr. Carter enjoys outside activities and has completed multiple Ironman Triathlons and numerous ultramarathons. He brings this passion for life and the importance of a healthy lifestyle into his patient care whenever possible. He is married with two children and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Sloan S. Shah, MD, FACOG, Vice President
Dr. Sloan Shah joined Michiana Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001 after completing her training at Rush University in Chicago. She is originally from northwest Illinois, growing up in Sycamore.
After graduating from Northern Illinois University, where she received her undergraduate degree in biology, Dr. Shah attended medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL.
Dr. Shah has enjoyed caring for women and families in Michiana for more than 20 years. Her practice encompasses all aspects of OB/GYN, but she has great interest in adolescent gynecology, hormonal and menstrual disorders, the menopause transition, and minimally invasive surgery, including Laparoscopic and Da Vinci Robotic procedures.
She is married to Dr. Raj Shah and has two children, Vince and Nicolina. When not seeing patients, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and being a fitness and wellness enthusiast. She also enjoys incorporating holistic and Eastern medicine philosophies to current technologies and traditions in medical management. Her hobbies include exercise, yoga, reading and gardening.

Thomas Akre, DO
Dr. Thomas Akre specializes in general orthopedics, total joints, anterior approach total hip, kinematic aligned total knee, sports medicine, and peripheral nerve surgery. He graduated from Des Moines University Medical School as a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). He went on to complete his residency at Ingham Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. He and his wife Mary reside in Granger and they have seven children.

Sohaib Aleem, MD, MPH, FACP
Dr. Aleem received his medical degree from Aga Khan University in Pakistan and completed his combined internal medicine/preventive medicine residency at the University of Buffalo, New York. During his fellowship at the University of Iowa, he focused on allergy and immunology. He manages children and adults struggling with various allergic diseases, including asthma, nasal allergies, sinus disease, food allergies, eczema, hives, and immunodeficiency disorders.
While he is not working, Dr. Aleem enjoys exercising, watching movies, and trying out different cuisines.

Scott A. Blickensderfer, DO
Dr. Blickensderfer received both his undergraduate and his medical education in Kirksville, Missouri. His bachelor’s degree is from Truman State University and his doctor of osteopathy was awarded at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Blickensderfer served his internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids. His leadership extends to his current and previous committee positions leading the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.

Jon B. Chadwell, MD
Upon receiving his undergraduate degree at Ohio University, Dr. Chadwell went to medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Chadwell is board certified in both Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He completed an accredited American Academy of Facial Plastics Fellowship giving him the expertise required to be a Facial Plastic Surgeon.

Timothy W. Noveroske, MD
Dr. Noveroske completed his college and medical education at the University of Michigan. His passion for medicine includes mission trips to Africa, Haiti and Central / South America. His free time is filled with family, fishing and travel.
He and his wife have raised five daughters in South Bend.

Bradley Scott, MD
Dr. Bradley Scott started his career at Calvin College, where he received his undergraduate degree. He also studied at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree before successfully completing his residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. He is board-certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Scott practices at The South Bend Clinic’s Granger campus.
