About Jill Colpitts, NP

Philosophy of Care

I wholeheartedly believe in the positive outcomes from practicing regular preventative medicine. The quality of life of my patients is just as important as their longevity, and I enjoy working with my patients as a team to ensure the best possible plan of care.

Clinical Interests

Having worked in the family practice field for over a decade, my favorite visits were always dermatology-related. Our work in dermatology is more than skin-deep! Whether it is a new patient routine skin check or a follow-up visit with a patient I've been seeing for years, I enjoy learning the nuances of care with each patient. No two people are alike, and every visit is an adventure.

Personal Interests

I love to travel with my family, particularly to places we get to explore and hike. Road trips are my favorite! I have been involved in athletics (softball, powerlifting and strongman) most of my life, and look forward to continuing on a competitive path as long as I'm physically able.

Jillian gave me a long lecture about Athlete's foot, what it is and how to treat it etc then told me I did not have athlete's foot! She also gave me an extended lecture on how I got plantar warts, although I told her none of those scenarios applied to me repeatedly. Jillian's instructions for aftercare were confusing and extremely poorly written. Follow up to questions in mychart after my visit made no sense and did not address my concerns at all. Jillian left me confused and unsure how to treat my plantar warts at home, necessitating an additional visit (!) ten days later with a different dermatologist who did a wonderful job explaining the plantar warts and how to treat them at home. Jillian is a very poor provider indeed.
