I tend to personal and conversational with patients and their families. I am interested in their lives/interests beyond just what their medical/surgical issue may be for seeing me may be. Patients put an awful lot of trust and their well being in the hands of someone theyve just met, so I believe it is incumbent upon me to get to know them personally and allow them to know me in the same way.
