Heart scans are used to look for cal­ci­um deposits in the coro­nary arter­ies that can nar­row your arter­ies and increase your heart attack risk. The result of this test is called a coro­nary cal­ci­um score. Heart scans can show that you may have a high­er risk of hav­ing a heart attack or oth­er prob­lems before you have any appar­ent symp­toms of heart dis­ease. Our high-res­o­lu­tion CT scan­ners pro­vide a fast, pain­less test that will give you a cal­ci­um score and allow you to com­pare your results with a test group of men and women your age. Why wait? Rec­om­mend­ed for patients age 35 or old­er and have one or more of the following:
