Esophagogastro- duodenoscopy - EGD

EGD (upper endoscopy) is used to evaluate the esophagus, stomach, and upper digestive tract and perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Procedures and techniques include:

  • EGD balloon dilation
  • EGD cryodilation
  • Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)
  • Endoscopic full thickness resection (EFTR) for polyp or early-stage tumor removal

Additional advanced techniques, such as WATS-3D sampling and argon plasma coagulation (APC), may be used when appropriate.
