My name is Barbara Stitt, FNP. I have been a nurse for 40 years—since 1983! I am married and have two sons and a grandchild. I have lived in Michigan my whole life. I truly am passionate about caring for the whole patient and providing comprehensive care for them.
I have been a family nurse practitioner for 23 years and with The South Bend Clinic since 2006. I have experience in family care, urgent care, and administration. I have helped in different specialty areas at the South Bend Clinic, including dermatology, ear, nose, and throat, and pre-surgical clearance.
My philosophy is to "care for everyone and treat others how you want to be treated."

I enjoy caring for patients with asthma, chronic cough, chronic sinusitis, dermatitis, eczema, food allergies, immunotherapy, nasal allergy symptoms, nasal polyposis, and urticaria.
I enjoy working outside and inside of the home, reading, crafting/sewing, traveling, being with my friends and family, including our dogs, and the four seasons of the year and what each season provides.

Weighing me so frequently is irritating. Somehow incorrect meds were introduced to my record before this visit and are still on there even though the assistant noted my objection.
