From an early age, a personal experience set April Rozycki, FNP-BC, on a clear path: a career in healthcare. It was a journey shaped by a desire to ease the pain of others facing illness and to become a passionate advocate for their care.

April Rozycki (Rasnic), FNP-BC.
Q: What first sparked your interest in healthcare, and what inspired you to become an Advanced Practice Provider?
A: My father passed away from cancer when I was 12 years old. I remember from that moment on that I wanted to help others going through illness and disease. Understanding the pain of losing a loved one, I felt inspired to help ease the pain of both the patient and family, dedicate my energy to making a positive difference in others’ lives, as well as be a medical advocate in the lives of others.
Q: Was there a person or experience that influenced your career path?
A: Dr. Loren and Lowell Hamel.
Q: What do you find most meaningful about the work you do each day?
A: I truly enjoy using my learned medical talents to make the lives of my patients better in any way I can. I enjoy protecting them and looking out for their best interest. I love answering their questions and giving them a positive feeling of being heard and genuinely cared for.
I am blessed to have learned so much in my career and have the ability to care for others. When a patient thanks you as a medical provider for helping them, it gives so much positive energy to keep helping others. It’s like the most potent shot of espresso!
