I left feeling very comfortable that my needs we're addressed and taken care of and that she was going to make sure any and all tests were explained thoroughly in a manner that I could understand. "My main concern was about hormones. Being 52 and going through menopause. I gave a little history and a 1 symptom I was having. I asked for a full work up. Provider did not take the time to discuss anything. Just that my results for pap would be back in a few weeks, yes being obese is a big part of hormones, and she would order some labs. There was no discussion or any conversation. Doctors have got to learn that while they can not solve everything have compassion and talk with the patient. I was in and out of the room in less than 15 minutes. That is not enough time to do anything. I am disappointed in how the medical field is getting. Doctors use to discuss things with you. The blood work that was ordered was just for estrogen. I will not be getting it done and I will not be coming back."

"Dr Cox had one of the worst bedside manners I've experienced in recent memory. She was dismissive and minimizing of my concerns, said zero things that were pleasant or warm, and hardly smiled. She comes off as rude and minimizing, like the patient is a bother. She started off the appointment by saying she might not have have time to address all my concerns, but the appointment lasted less than 5 minutes. She scoffed at one question and made me feel uneducated. After being dismissive about another concern throughout the apt and exam, she tried to circle back and bring it up as she walked out the door, suggesting I get imaging. But she couldn't explain what imaging would tell us or how it would alter the course of care, particularly when she said so many times my concern was a nonissue. She did not communicate clearly about this. She was disdainful from the moment she walked in the room. Advice: Be warm, smile, use pleasantries. Be validating Give clear guidance Ask questions about the patients symptoms Check for patient understanding of what you've said Rephrase patient's words to check for your understanding"
