I am a board-certified family medicine physician. I also completed a Maternal and Newborn Health Fellowship that provided additional experience in obstetrics, including prenatal care, point-of-care ultrasounds, labor and delivery management, vaginal and c‑section deliveries, and postpartum care. The joy of practicing obstetrics and family medicine is that I get the privilege of caring for someone during their pregnancy and both the mother and the growing family after birth.
My approach to patient care is about building trusting relationships with my patients and addressing their physical, mental, and social concerns. I strive to create a space where patients are supported and feel heard through empathy and understanding. It is vital to clearly explain medicine in a way that someone understands and is educated on evidence-based options and available community recourses for symptomatic improvement and treatment. Ultimately, I intend to use shared decision-making to create a plan with my patients to improve their health.
